Keyboard shortcuts
No custom scheme was invented here — these follow the keys already established in Figma, Fusion, and general apps. ⌘ (Mac) and Ctrl (Windows / Linux) are handled automatically by OS detection.
Shortcuts don't hijack input while a text field has focus.
Command palette
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
⌘K / Ctrl+K | Open the command palette |
The palette lets you search and run all 59 commands by name (↑ ↓ to select, Enter to run, Esc to close). A command that takes arguments shows a form right there.
Because this is a human-facing surface, the confirmation gate doesn't apply (you're looking at your own operation's result directly).
Editing
| Key | Action | Command |
|---|---|---|
⌘Z / Ctrl+Z | Undo (your own edits only) | undo |
⌘⇧Z / Ctrl+⇧Z / Ctrl+Y | Redo | redo |
⌘⇧H / Ctrl+⇧H | Hide selection | hideSelection |
Del / ⌫ | Delete selection | deleteSelection |
Selection
| Key | Action | Command |
|---|---|---|
⌘A / Ctrl+A | Select all | selectAll |
Esc | Clear the selection (cancels a drag in progress) | clearSelection |
Camera
| Key | Action | Command |
|---|---|---|
⇧1 | Return to the overview home view | home |
⇧2 | Zoom to selection | zoomToSelection |
Space + drag | Temporary pan (Orbit mode only) | — |
⇧0 (100%) isn't assigned, since it has no meaning in a 3D perspective projection. Space-pan is disabled in Fly because it conflicts with forward/back movement.
Switching tools
Mnemonics are only assigned where no key is already established for a point-cloud-specific tool.
| Key | Tool |
|---|---|
V | Select |
M | Measure |
H | Nav |
Mouse / trackpad
See Look and walk. Double-click (double-tap on iPad) means "move to that point" in both modes.
Where this sits in the implementation
Shortcuts are the fourth input surface for Command dispatch (alongside UI buttons / AI / collaboration). input/shortcuts.ts holds only the mapping table of "which key issues which Command" — execution always goes through executeCommand. Remapping keys is just a matter of swapping this table.
